After hearing , reading and seeing many videos, newspaper articles, online articles, personal stories and my own eyewitness account I am appalled that hydro-fracking is continuing at the rate and way it is. My name is Wendy hammond(Marsaln). I understand that hydro-fracking is causing many problems for our friends and neighbors. There are also considerable problems with the hydro-fracking causing environmental damage. There are toxins in the drinking water. The water is so full of contamination it is not drinkable at all. Some people have lost the use of their water supply all together. The land is being used as a dumping ground for the waste material as there is no safe place to keep this waste.
As a concerned citizen and lover of the environment and nature I am asking that you Co-sponsor and pass S.7592/A.10490. We need to have a moratorium in place for hydro-fracking so we can ensure make sure that air and water quality is assessed from the very high volume of hydro-fracking that is happening now. Also, please help to ensure that a plan will be addressed so the water will stay clean. There needs to be a very safe way to dispose the toxic, radioactive and caustic liquid waste.
This is a very important and urgent matter which affects everyone including our children and the future generations. It is also affecting our planet as a whole. Thank you so very much for your time.
